The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources Signs Memorandum of Understanding with (TVTC)

Riyadh - The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, represented by His Excellency Dr. Sami bin Mohammed Al Hamoud, Assistant Minister for Planning and Development, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, represented by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al Fahid, Governor of the Corporation.

The memorandum aims to enhance mutual cooperation between the two parties to achieve integration and unify efforts in the areas of development, training, employment, strategic partnerships, and mutual benefits.

The Ministry's spokesperson, Jirah bin Mohammed Al Jirah, explained that the areas of mutual cooperation outlined in the memorandum include involving the Ministry in the boards of directors of strategic partnership institutes and their existing and future academies in the industry and mining sector, coordinating with existing institute boards according to relevant regulations. The memorandum also involves the Ministry in feasibility studies for launching strategic partnerships in the industry and mining sector.

Furthermore, the memorandum focuses on identifying and studying sector needs to launch new partnerships in line with the vision and strategy of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation to support large, medium, and small companies in the industry and mining sector. It also explores the possibility of establishing a National Academy for Industry and Mining to train and qualify national cadres for employment needs identified by the Ministry.

Al Jirah added that the areas of cooperation also include collaboration with international centers, support for research and innovation, coordination with industrial and mining sector entities to identify training, employment, and motivation needs, and benefit from services provided by strategic partnership centers in collaboration with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation.

Fahd Al Otaibi, the spokesperson for the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, emphasized the Corporation's commitment to establishing high-quality partnerships that serve the technical and vocational training sector and achieve training objectives. He highlighted that this agreement aims to enhance the strategic partnership between the parties and strengthen mutual cooperation to achieve integration and unify efforts in development, training, employment, innovation, and research.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry aims to monitor the job stability rates of graduates from strategic partnership institutes in the industry and mining sector, share data and information on graduates from institutes affiliated with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in the sector to achieve the sector's objectives in localizing human resources in the industry and mining sector in the Kingdom.
